VP, Interactive/Technology Platforms and Strategy

Worktank is a dynamic award-winning agency specializing in telling our clients’ stories at the right place and the right time in the right media. We are looking for a seasoned and strategic VP of Delivery Technology who can take us to the forefront of technology driven advertising and marketing communications. We are looking for someone who has experience integrating campaigns across online and offline channels to technology, consumer electronic, and wireless markets.

The perfect candidate must be a self-motivated and self-directed individual who is a strong and positive team leader. They must be able craft strategic technology solutions for clients without sacrificing attention to detail and processes.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the strategic development of innovative technology driven marketing and advertising solutions
  • Recruit, assess talent and manage a team of web and database developers
  • Oversee the creation and management of an analytics practice
  • Participate in a leadership role on the agency management team, working to collaboratively develop and ensure success of the strategic plan
  • Oversee the agency IT department and develop strategic recommendations for the agency’s technological infrastructure
  • Architect higher complexity software solutions and assemble teams for implementation
  • Accurately scope budgets and resources on complex and multi-faceted tech projects
  • Ensure proper allocation of resources to projects and provide full-cycle project oversight
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships reinforcing a sense of accountability and responsibility for delivering the highest quality and value to clients
  • Participate in business development and sales engagements as tech expert
  • Provide performance feedback to team to establish and achieve career goals; determine, select and approve appropriate training to accomplish personal and professional growth
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of web dev projects through QA and test processes and partner relationships
  • Research advanced topics related to web dev technology and trends and mentor team and extended team members

What We Need From You

  • 10+ years of progressively increasing experience both on the development and management sides
  • Deep experience with software development processes and successfully piloting fast-moving Internet projects
  • Deep experience with web technologies, including Flash, Silverlight, HTML, Javascript, Java and .net, and web solutions including CMS, e-commerce applications, and online CRM tools, Gadgets, widgets and social media trends
  • 5+ years of advertising/interactive agency experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, with excellent persuasion skills proving the ability to negotiate.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work on day-to-day client business

This position in a full-time in house position. Compensation depends on experience and knowledge. Benefits include full medical, dental, vision, and up to 20 days of vacation along with participation in our 401k plan.

Webcast Producer (Freelance)

To facilitate approximately 25-30 webcasts per month, managing logistics, production and customer experience for each webcast.

Responsibilities

  • Enter information and schedule webcasts within Registration/Event Management Systems
  • Enter information and schedule webcasts within Microsoft Office Live Meeting system
  • Create custom web pages to promote webcasts using existing templates
  • Process webcast request forms
  • Alter web URLs/Links as needed
  • Perform QA checks for webcast events
  • Create event documentation (schedules, reminder mails, training documents)
  • Organize presenter management (scheduling events and tracking down PPT decks)
  • Maintain logistics (Keeping track of the daily deliverables)
  • Deliver presenter training sessions and ensure presenters questions are answered
  • Contribute in the creation of webcast training materials
  • Support Tier 1 inquiries and escalate event issues to support staff
  • Interact with other service vendors as needed
  • Other projects as assigned

Requirements

  • You are an outgoing, confident individual who projects a personable intelligence
  • You understand the basics in Outlook and Microsoft Office applications: Creating a meeting maker, sorting and filing emails and setting alerts, sorting data in Excel and cutting and pasting data to/from cells, altering data in PowerPoint
  • You have the ability to remain calm and “think on your feet” in a crisis
  • You are a creative thinker who comes up with outside-the-box ideas for problem solving
  • You have a proven ability to multi-task
  • You have a love for technology with a passion for learning and adapting to new technology/software
  • You have worked in enough jobs that you've achieved a certain level of business maturity (you know what to say and what not to say and to whom)
  • You possess a dedicated sense of responsibility
  • You have a really good eye for detail and catch the little things that others often miss
  • You are devoted to giving great customer service
  • You may have some experience with public speaking (or are at least comfortable talking to large groups of people) since live meetings will consist of you being the on-air moderator/broadcast host
  • You work well with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Must be able to use a computer
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
