May Your Family Gathering Be Low-Carb and Full of Flying Ninjas

Holiday-O-Matic

SEATTLE, December 18th, 2007 – If you're tired of offering the same boring holiday greetings, now you can send all-new and original greetings to friends and loved ones with the Worktank Holiday-O-Matic Card. This whimsical, interactive card lets users "pull" a virtual lever to create a delightfully random holiday greeting to send to that special someone. A sample greeting reads, "May your chestnut roasting be salmonella free and full of hot apple cider."

The card is a fun way to spread holiday cheer, and as a bonus, Worktank will donate 50 cents to Rotary First Harvest every time a greeting is sent to unique email addresses. The aesthetic was inspired by classic Holiday animated movies like Frosty the Snowman, and 1950s kitsch.

"We set out to design a fun, untraditional holiday greeting experience that would motivate people to want to share it with friends," said Associate Art Director Sarah Harrison.

The Rotary First Harvest (RFH) is a Seattle-based non-profit that fills the gap between farmers, food packers and processors with surplus produce and other local non-profit food distribution partners like Northwest Harvest and Food Lifeline. RFH is an effective solution to the problems of hunger and agricultural waste in Washington State. They focus on procuring, collecting and distributing surplus produce that might otherwise go unharvested or be sent to landfills. Since they began in 1982, they've collected and distributed more than 120 million pounds of produce.
