Worktank's Webcasts Reach One Million Viewers

Over the past year, Worktank collaborated with Microsoft to create 2,200 webcasts that reached over one million viewers and listeners. Utilizing Microsoft's Live Meeting software, Worktank helped Microsoft connect with their customers in a relatively inexpensive manner via webcasts. The webcasts allowed executives and companies around the world to receive answers and solve issues that they were currently encountering with Microsoft's software and technology. During a webcast, viewers are able to get their individual questions answered. Worktank and Microsoft executives worked together to create webcasts that featured topics and issues that executives around the world are currently encountering with software, technology, and their companies. Similar to Comcast's On-Demand feature, if someone is unable to tune in to the live webcast, all previous webcasts are posted online and available for viewing at any time. Webcasts allow executives from companies around the world to interact and to view the same presentation straight from their own office or even their home.

Due to executives spending more time online, emailing, and generally being in front of their computers, Microsoft developed Live Meeting software that enables companies and executives to interact in meetings and presentations without the hassle of scheduling and traveling. Live Meeting allows colleagues and strangers to interact with just a PC and an Internet connection. The simplicity of Live Meeting has eased the lives of executives in their ability to discuss various issues through their computers in offices around the world. Live Meeting also allows companies to host presentations that are then viewed by people dispersed across the country.

Utilizing Microsoft's Live Meeting software, Worktank created webcasts that featured topics about TechNet MSDN, MS Business Systems, Small Business, Microsoft Executive Circle, and Microsoft Office Systems. For the Microsoft Executive Circle webcasts, they featured topics such as Project Portfolio Management in Financial Services - Balancing Control and Compliance with Speed and Flexibility, Dynamic Project Management Systems for Construction, and Project Intelligence for Pipelines. The Microsoft Office Systems webcasts featured topics including Surviving and Thriving in a Risk-averse Culture, Project Tips and Tricks, and Effective Project Management with Microsoft Office Project 2003. Worktank and Microsoft developed these topics through research about the current concerns of top executives in order to help them gain a better understanding of the current software and technology. The webcasts help executives more effectively utilize their technology. Webcasts are a relatively inexpensive way for Microsoft to reach out to their customers as they cost an average of $10-$15 per person watching the webcast. At this time, Live Meeting only allows for webcasts to be composed of slides and audio tracks which is currently an effective way to connect with their customers. As the software becomes more advanced, Worktank plans to work more with Microsoft and other companies on creating live streaming video webcasts for viewers. Also, as more people search the Internet for information, the webcasts will become a more popular and more highly utilized way for companies to reach out to their customers. Worktank is on the cutting edge of technology and enjoys the opportunity to work with Microsoft and Live Meeting software in an effort to increase Microsoft's interactions with their customers.
