National Commercial for AT&T wins Telly
SEATTLE, March 27th, 2008 - Seattle-based advertising agency Worktank was awarded a Bronze Telly for "Pop Up Office", a nationally televised commercial for HTC's promotion of AT&T's 8525 smartphone.
"Pop-Up Office" showed how users can shed multiple, single-use devices and achieve maximum productivity with the AT&T 8525," said Senior Art Director Scott Schmehl. "Wherever the mobile business professional in our ad campaign took a call on the AT&T 8525, an entire office popped up around him that helped him work effectively anywhere."
The first U.S. integrated campaign for HTC has achieved extremely satisfying results. Sales of the AT&T 8525 increased by 33 percent within the first two weeks of the campaign, in spite of Apple's iPhone launch, and remaining stock of the phone had a successful sell-through. The online campaign exceeded telecommunication industry standards with a Click Through Rate (CTR) of .21 percent and an Interaction Rate (IR) of 9.18 percent. These results greatly exceeded HTC and AT&T's expectations and illustrated how a carefully conceived integrated campaign can have significant impact on sales.
